최초의 배달음식에 대한 이야기는 냉면과 해장국, 두 가지 설이 있어요. 18세기에 이미 시작된 배달문화가 있었을까요, 아니면 20세기에 시작됐을까요? 판단은 독자의 몫이라고 할게요.
There are two theories about the first delivery food: cold noodles and hangover soup. Was there a delivery culture that started in the 18th century, or did it start in the 20th century? I'll say it's up to the reader to make the judgment.
냉면에 관한 첫 번째 기록은 1768년, 이재 황윤석이 기록한 '이재난고'에 나와 있어요. "과거시험을 본 다음날 냉면을 시켜 먹었다"는 표현 때문에 배달일지 테이크아웃인지는 확실하지 않아요.
The first record on naengmyeon is in Lee Jae-hwan, Hwang Yun-seok's book, Lee Jae-hwan, in 1768. It is not clear whether it is a delivery journal or a takeaway because of the expression, "I ordered naengmyeon the day after I took my previous exam."
두 번째 기록은 1871년, 이유원이 쓴 '임하필기'에 있어요. 고종이 신하에게 냉면을 사오게 하며, "너희들과 함께 냉면을 먹고 싶다"고 한 기록이 있어요.
The second record is in 1871 in Imha Pilgi, written by Lee Yu-won. There is a record that King Gojong had his servants buy naengmyeon and said, "I want to eat naengmyeon with you guys."
세 번째 기록은 1921년, 최영년이 쓴 '해동죽지'에 있는 효종갱입니다. 효종갱은 해장에 좋은 재료로 만든 국으로, 새벽에 배달되어 집에 도착하는 것이 특징이에요.
The third is the Hyojonggang in Haedongjukji, written by Choi Young-nyeon in 1921. The Hyojonggang is a soup made with good ingredients for hangover and features delivery at dawn to arrive home.
음식배달의 최초 광고는 1906년, 일간신문 '만세보'에 등장한 명월관의 광고였어요. 이 당시에는 음식을 각각 그릇에 담아서 배달하는 스타일이었답니다. 1900년대에는 자전거가 보급되면서 음식 배달이 대중화되었어요. 우리민족은 이때부터 '배달민족'으로 불리게 되었죠.
The first advertisement for food delivery was a Myeongwolgwan advertisement that appeared in the daily newspaper Mansebo in 1906. Back then, food was delivered in individual bowls. In the 1900s, food delivery became popular as bicycles became popular. This is when our people became called 'Baedal Minjok.'
