한국은 어느 순간 '문화 강국'이라는 말이 어색하지 않은 나라가 되었습니다. K-POP부터 웹툰, 웹소설, 콘텐츠, 게임에 이르기까지, 정말 다양한 문화 분야에서 두각을 나타내고 있는데요, 그 중에서도 영화는 최근 가장 많이 주목을 받은 분야입니다. 칸 영화제와 아카데미에서 여러 상을 휩쓴 봉준호 감독의 영화 '기생충'만 생각해 보아도 알 수 있지요. 그래서 오늘은 2023년, 여름에 개봉하는 한국 영화의 기대작들에 대해서 알아보겠습니다! 어떤 작품이 가장 기대가 되는지 한 번 골라보시면서 읽어주시면 좋을 것 같습니다!

'베테랑'(2015)이라는 영화로 천만관객을 동원한 류승완 감독이 올 여름 '밀수'라는 영화를 들고왔습니다. 영화 밀수는 1970년대 한국을 배경으로 합니다. 제목처럼 한창 경제가 개발되던 1970년대의 한국에서 밀수품을 다루며 생계를 이어나가던 사람들의 이야기를 담고 있는 영화인데요. 식모살이를 하며 힘들게 살다가 밀수일에 뛰어들게 된 주인공과 밀수왕, 해녀들이 등장하는 정말 색다른 범죄물이 될 예정이라고 합니다. 밀수가 주목받고 있는 이유는 정말 쟁쟁한 배우들이 출연하기 때문도 있습니다.  김혜수, 염정아, 조인성, 박정민과 같은 한국을 대표하는 배우들이 출연하는 밀수! 한 번 지켜보시면 좋을 것 같습니다.

Director Ryu Seung-wan, who drew 10 million viewers with the movie "Veteran" (2015), brought a movie called "Secretary" this summer. The movie smuggling is set in Korea in the 1970s. 2. 더문 The Moon

'신과 함께' 1편과 2편을 통해 천 만 관객을 두 번이나 달성했던 김용화 감독이 우주를 배경으로 하는 영화 '더문'으로 돌아왔습니다. 영화 '더문'은 어떤 사고로 인해 혼자서 달에 표류하게 된 우주 대원과 그를 구출하기 위해 노력하는 전 우주센터장의 이야기를 담고 있습니다. 고립된 우주 대원 선우 역할으로 K-POP 아이돌 출신이지만 뛰어난 연기력을 가지고 있는 엑소의 도경수가 출연했고, 전 우주센터장 역할으로 한국을 대표하는 배우로서 '오아시스', '박하사탕', '강철중', '살인자의 기억법'과 같은 영화에 출연했던 설경구가 출연하며 더 큰 기대를 불러일으키고 있습니다. 또 미항공우주국 NASA의 우주정거장 총괄 디렉터 역으로 배우 김희애가 출연하여 정말 많은 한국 사람들이 기대하고 있는 작품 '더문'입니다.

영화 '더문'은 한국 최초로 달 탐사를 소재로 한 우주 생존 영화로서 우주 공간을 컴퓨터 그래픽으로 구현하기 위해 많은 투자가 이루어진 작품이라고 합니다. 김용화 감독의 전작인 '신과 함께'를 생각하면 정말 뛰어난 그래픽효과들을 생각할 수 있는데, '더문'도 이러한 멋진 장면을 구현할 수 있을지 이목이 쏠리고 있습니다.
