초등학교 (Elementary School)

한국의 의무 교육은 초등학교에서 시작됩니다.(의무교육은 아니지만 대부분의 아이들이 어린이집, 유치원에 다니곤 합니다.) 초등학교는  6살부터 12살까지의 학생들을 대상 교육을 하는 기관입니다. 총 6개의 학년으로 구성되어 있으며, 학년 별로 고정된 교과과정을 따릅니다. 주요 교과목으로는 국어, 수학, 사회, 과학, 체육, 미술 등이 있으며, 최근에는 AI 시대에 발 맞추어 코딩교육, 정보기기 활용 교육도 강화되고 있습니다. 초등학교에서는 학생들의 기본 학력을 구축하고, 학습 습관을 형성하는 데 초점을 두고 있습니다.
